About Me

About Me

I was raised in a small, central Texas town called Gatesville. I graduated from Gatesville High School in 2017. Throughout grade school, I participated in the marching band as color guard and I also did tech for the theatre productions produced. I began working as a waitress at the age of 15 at a family-owned Italian restaurant located in my hometown. These three things helped me develop several skills while I was young, which I am grateful for. Band taught me leadership and teamwork skills while my job brought me lots of opportunities to expand my people skills. It was being a part of the tech crew for our theatre productions, that I learned my love for acting and creating/producing content.

I consider my biggest achievement to be the time I studied abroad in high school. Coming from a small town, my school didn’t offer any exchange or summer study programs, so I took to the internet to find my own. I came across CIEE and decided that I would apply for their scholarship. I wrote three essays and was awarded their Full Tuition scholarship allowing me to study the language and pop culture in Japan for a month.

I started getting my degree at Texas State University in 2017, where I was supposed to graduate in May of 2021. However, with a little hard work and dedication, I will now be graduating in December of 2020. After graduating, I aspire to get a job at Edelman in Austin and then work my way up to transferring to their Japan location. I was able to visit their Japan branch while studying abroad in 2019 and meet some of their employees as well as learn all about their company and see some of the projects they have done. I hope to one day be a part of an Edelman group that produces a project like when they teamed up with Taco Bell London to bring Big Ben Back. I’ve always loved Japan, so to be able to combine my love of public relations and my favorite country would be a dream come true.
